Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Te Mata Coleraine 2014 1.5L Magnum would interest you.
Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Supersized Te Mata's legendary claret - Coleraine 1.5L
Coleraine has forged itself as one of NZ's top drops for almost 30yrs. A powerful Bordeaux blend lead by Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2014 Coleraine is one of the most hotly anticipated reds in NZ. Hot on the heels of the much acclaimed 2013 is another stunner and one of the "best back to back Coleraine vintages"
- Peter Cowley.
With ratings like 100/100 and 98/100 coupled with the decreased 2014 production, this is a perfect opportunity to secure a 1.5L Magnum.
It was 1982 when the first Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot blend was created from the then single vineyard named Coleraine. A historical name that has been given several of the previous Buck family farms, after the hometown of John’s grandfather in Northern Ireland. Legacy certainly follows this name as Coleraine the wine has been the pinnacle of NZ reds right from the beginning. The 2014 vintage had a huge task living up to both the legacy of Coleraine gone past and its immediate 2013 predecessor. Fortunately with ratings like 98/100 (Bob Campbell) 100/100 (Sam Kim) and 5 Stars from Michael Cooper, Peter Cowley hits the nail on the head when he describes the wine as the best back to back vintages they have ever seen. A time honoured tradition of Coleraine winemaking hasn’t changed much over the years starting with hand harvesting before traditional warm ferment and extended skin contact. Maturing the wine takes a long 19 months in French Oak barrel with parcel blending incorporated. The one noticeable difference in the 2014 vintage is the smaller production as a result we have al sold out of the 750ml but we have a few 1.5L magnums left - get in quick!
