Winemaker: Francis Hut joined Carrick in 2010 having decided that Central Otago was where he wanted to be. Being a thorough young man he decided that in order to make wine in Central Otago he needed to know the vineyard first so spent a year working with Blair, our viticulturist before being appointed as Carrick Winemaker in August 2011. He has a particular interest in organic and biodynamic growing of grapes and wine production, so was specially delighted to be the first Carrick winemaker when we were able to show the world our organic certification on our 2012 botttlings. |

Viticulturalist: Blair Deaker Originally a Cromwell boy but has been away for a significant time. Returned to Cromwell and Carrick from Villa Maria organic vineyards and has been instrumental in moving Carrick towards its organic status. Great with people, hens, dogs, vegetable gardens, phases of the moon, brews for our compost and of course vineyards |

General Manager: Steve Green the founder of Carrick is multi skilled and busy! Initially involved in the development of the vineyards and the setting of the winery, his skills and experience in the wine industry help define Carrick as one of the leading Central Otago wineries. As well as guiding and promoting Carrick wines in the local and international markets, Steve is on the Board of Wine New Zealand, and has been both the chairperson of Central Otago Pinot Noir Limited, the highly successful marketing arm of Central Otago and also the President of the Central Otago Winegrowers Association. He travels the world on Carrick's behalf but likes nothing better than to be in a back country hut enjoying a bottle of Carrick Pinot Noir. g |

- A rare grape variety in this neck of the woods, but Carrick create a stunning chardonnay with Chablis like flavour.
- Carrick’s (winemaker Rosie has done an outstanding job balancing the characters of this wine. The interwoven flavours of mouth-watering citrus with crisp acidity and rich minerality with unctuous sweet almond cream are well linked in perfect harmony just like the ‘Carrick Bend Knot’ that represents the company.
