Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Man O' War Dreadnought Syrah 2015 would interest you.
Waiheke Island, New Zealand
Dreadnoughts are designed to blow you away, MOW Syrah is no exception!
This Syrah has some serious street cred to back up its power; 96 Points Decanter, as well as making into its Top10 Syrahs in New Zealand list
Duncan McTavish gives you a Syrah truly second to none with black ripe fruit, blueberries, and black pepper flavours with intergrated finely grained tannins.
Dreadnought Syrah is no exception being created from the steepest and most breathtaking vineyards sites. Dreadnought pays homage to both the 20th century battleships of the same name, and the challenging but rewarding viticulture of the Syrah vines. Both of which have been bestowed with the motto “fear god and dreadnought”
With the dedication of a classical kiwi can do, and the enormous talents of Matt Allen (greenfingers) and Duncan McTavish (red fingers) they have created a Syrah experience second to none. This wine lets the land do the talking with natural yeast and malolactic ferments, and a year in oak produces a classically styled Syrah with huge potential. With a proven emulation of Northern Rhone greats, Dreadnought showcases a flavour variety of black ripe fruit, blueberries and black pepper spice with hints of peat. Once tasted the power becomes apparent of the finely grained tannins reminiscent of the battleships but with amazing elegance and complexity. Remarkably this wine is delicious now in its youth but has the history to age well.
