Passage Rock's classic red blend of varietals and vineyards. The much loved 'Sisters' shows off winemaker/owner David Evans-Gander artful skill of wine blending. Like winery this local favourite takes its name from two Waiheke islets. You can see the 'Sisters' guarding the entrance to Okahuiti Creek - passing them as you sail in on the Kennedy Point car ferry to Waiheke Island. With Waiheke's glamour grape - Syrah taking the lead at 48% the remainder is made up of 35% Cabernets and 6% for both M's Merlot and Malbec. With a little more guts than other Waihekean red blends at this price, Sisters brings power and harmony to the glass. Dark berries, spice and vanillin characters shine though reflecting all three vineyards its grown from. A perfect mix of island life, idyllic blending, and great flavours. Brilliant with gourmet pizza, or marinated lamb steak.
