Created from the 350ha Davey family estate in McLaren Vale, the Red Knot Cabernet Sauvignon sets about giving your tastebuds maximum bang for your buck. As part of the Red Knot range this wine provides a no holds barred expression of the varietal’s fruit flavours. The Cabernet Sauvignon is not the easiest of grapes to pull off the ‘immediate enjoyment’ philosophy of Red Knot, but winemaker John Davey has done it, plus added a little bit of body and structure to broaden the experience. You can expect hearty varietal flavours from this Cabernet Sauvignon experience like that of blackcurrant, bramble, and black olives. Characteristics of dark chocolate and woody spice also sign up to impress your tastebuds all of which are hanging off a medium bodied tannin and oak structure. This isn’t a big chewing Cabernet Sauvignon but more one designed to show off the more approachable juicy flavours of the grape.
