The magical estate of Te Awa delivers a charmed Chardonnay brimming with characters of peaches, apricots, creme brulee and grilled nuts. Ant and Richard have crafted this elegant chardy from grapes grown entirely from the 151 hectare estate located in the famous Gimblett Gravels wine district. Underneath this estate lies Te Awa o Te Atua 'the river of god' which for non magical folk is the name given to the ancient underground streams meandering through the vineyards subterranean soils. It is from these the Chardonnay vines can produce such exquisite flavours which encourages you to explore the wine as does Te Awa o Te Atua through the alluvial soils of vineyard. Just like many of the great explorers, your senses will be rewarded with this exquisite, elegant chardonnay that is a perfect accompaniment to seafood, poultry or pork.
