Each year LDH Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is used to wearing a bit of bling, standing up getting it's picture taking. Well this year straight out of the blocks the 2019 vintage has done it again with the Gold medal award at NZ's largest wine show -  NZIWS. Who could blame them really – from the get go this single vineyard wine had the room upgrade all the way through its life. Sourced from the Fryer Road vineyard the carefully nurtured vines drunk artesian water – and lived in heavy soils producing big flavours. It is these big flavours and fruit intensity that drive the character of this punchy Sauvy but it is the depth and refined texture of its finish, is what puts into the Trophy class. A delicious pairing with a pan fried snapper, a shellfish entree, or some strong cheeses.
