Alpha Domus The Navigator 2015

Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
  • Set your wine compass to point here!
  • The Navigator stays true to Alpha Domus’s commitment of terroir based quality wines at exceptional prices.
  • This Navigator pilots your senses through a complex array of plum, blackberry, spice clove and toasty vanilla oak characteristics. Its a great wine experience that will guide you through the red grape varieties that made Hawke's Bay famous.
The middle tier Alpha Domus range adheres to the Ham’s winemaking philosophy with the Navigator guiding the way. Alpha Domus has been navigating since 2002 with the current vintage of 2014 offering a value based Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. After the 12 months in oak the Navigator releases ripe berryfruit, plums and violet aromas with touches of leather, mint, and sweet vanilla. The palate enjoys those ripe plum and blackberry flavours with spiced cloves. As the wine navigates its way down your mouth this Hawke’s Bay red shows off its firm tannins within savoury game and leathery characters.

Main Divide Pinot Gris 2015

Main Divide Pinot Gris 2015

Waipara, New Zealand
  • Mouth-watering Gris with a thoroughbred pedigree
  • Only a recent addition to the Main Divide cellar but what a wine to blast onto the Pinot Gris scene.
  • The ‘Main Divide’ of NZ’s South Island sets the backbone for the terroir of this wine. This backbone is emulated in the wine with its natural acidity providing a lengthy mineral backbone. Hanging off it are fruit flavours of peaches, guavas and spicy pear along with secondary characteristics of barrel fermentation, ageing all encompassed by a gorgeous swirl of mouth filling creamy texture.
