Like The Edge’s big brothers under the Escarpment labels, this Martinborough Pinot gets all the skills and expertise from the Escarpment camp, but delivers it in a softer easy drinking style. For the 2014 vintage The Edge delivers dark cherry, plum and rhubarb flavours to full up your mouth before the bramble and liquorice notes take over. Soft tannins and toasty oak characters continue throughout this entry level Escarpment Pinot, but it is one grand entrance your wallet will love you for.
