Lawson's Dry Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 2014

Marlborough, New Zealand
  • Opulent Pinot Power!
  • Lawson's Dry Hills only make one variety of red & damn its a good one! Its powerful and concentration characters are best experienced with NZ Lamb or Venison.
  • Just like the whites this red is not to be outdone in filling up the LDH medal cabinet. As well as collecting gold at Marlborough Wine Show and the huge San Francisco International Wine Comp, the folks at Air NZ selected it to woo the pants off all the Business Class passengers.
The team at Lawson's put their berry best into this label. After five different passes through two vineyards Marcus and Rebecca have taken the medley of Pinot clones available and crafted up a powerful Pinot of concentrated characters and wrapped it up in a opulent body. Although designed to evolve over 3 to 5 years its obviously got some real flavour right now having picked up two golds and the selection honours for the AirNZ inflight business class winelist. Best paired with NZ lamb or venison - delicious!

Main Divide Pinot Gris 2015

Main Divide Pinot Gris 2015

Waipara, New Zealand
  • Mouth-watering Gris with a thoroughbred pedigree
  • Only a recent addition to the Main Divide cellar but what a wine to blast onto the Pinot Gris scene.
  • The ‘Main Divide’ of NZ’s South Island sets the backbone for the terroir of this wine. This backbone is emulated in the wine with its natural acidity providing a lengthy mineral backbone. Hanging off it are fruit flavours of peaches, guavas and spicy pear along with secondary characteristics of barrel fermentation, ageing all encompassed by a gorgeous swirl of mouth filling creamy texture.
