LADHMRLSBL19

Lawson's Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Marlborough, New Zealand
  • Vibrant, Fresh and packed with character!
  • This gold medal winning wine packs a bucket load of flavours into the bottle, and still retains its exceptional price. All thanks to the award winning team at Lawson’ Dry Hills.
  • The characters of this 2019 Sauvignon Blanc are bulging out of the bottle, with intense concentration and vibrancy. It’s all there, and it’s all good, characters of ripe tropical fruits, crisp intense citrus flavours, elegant chalky mineral notes together with a splash of racy acidity make for a flavour-full glass of NZ vibrancy.
  • Case of 6 ($17.90/bottle)
Lawson’s Dry Hills calls the Marlborough grapegrowing region home, it is where it was born (thanks to the pioneering innovator and founder Ross Lawson) and it is where all its grapes come from. As you would expect from a Marlboroughan wine producer Sauvignon Blanc is on the winelist. But it is not just any sauvy, it is a pretty darn good one, which goes to show you after 3 decades of vintages the LDH team have perfected the art of Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2019 version crafted from Marcus Wright and Rebecca Wiffen delivers a crisp dry wine, yet one with a full spectrum of varietal flavours. The ripe tropical characters are there, so too are the chalky mineral notes and the crisp dry acidity courtesy of the never to be outdone ‘Marlborough flavours’ of limes and gooseberry. An elegant texture balances the refreshing blend perfect for summer aperitif, but even better with the company of fresh NZ shellfish or strong cheeses.

Main Divide Chardonnay 2018

Main Divide Chardonnay 2018

Waipara, New Zealand
  • A second label with first flavours providing outstanding value
  • From the Waipara stable of Pegasus Bay, the Main Divide label that has enough attention grabbing characteristics as the mountain range it’s named after.
  • Citrus and mineral acid flavours are dominant, as soon as you experience this wine, subsiding to the softer fruits of melon and peach after the wine mellows in your mouth. Evidence of the 18 months spent in old oak appears as buttered toast characteristics. But it is the backbone of mineral acid that defines this wine showing some serious hang time in the mouth. Ultimately this is a great value Chardonnay with great flavour complexity perfect to accompany dishes, like an apricot chicken or prawn salad.
