This dark, dense wine is one of Waiheke’s best selected from the ripest berries, grown at Passage Rock and Oneroa Bay Vineyards Waiheke Island. After an excellent season the grapes for this wine were hand harvested and nurtured through the winemaking process delivering. Typical flavours of ripe blackberry, plum and spice Aromas supported by tasty vanillin oak. The wine is medium to full bodied with beautifully balanced tannins, strong aromatics, especially spices and violet. An excellent experience just on its own or matched up to red meat, duck or pasta.
