MISHCANPNO18

Misha's Vineyard Cantata Pinot Noir 2018

Central Otago, New Zealand
  • Cantata will have your tastebuds singing!
  • Another spectacular Noir from Misha's Vineyard. Cantata's character derives from the latin meaning of Cantata - It's the full package song and music and all the complexities in between.
  • Silky smooth tannins, baked raspberry pie and hints of chocolate are just some descriptions thrown around for this 5 star wine. Whatever characters you find, Cantata will always deliver an outstanding performance.
  • Case of 6 ($28.90/bottle)
Although it is the least expensive of the Pinot lineup at Misha's Vineyard, Cantata will have you tastebuds singing. Like the rest of cellar - Misha's Vineyard wines come with nod to the owner's Misha Wilkinsons time living around the opera. To vocalize the complexity of this Pinot Noir the name Cantata was chosen as in musical biz it refers to  'a complex composition of song and instruments'. Quite fitting really considering Cantata's characters are a complex mix of baked raspberry pie, spiced plums, silky fine tannins, and notes of chocolate according winemaker Olly Masters. A raft of 90+ scores have come in from the critics with silky tannins being the most popular term used. Normally reserved for NZ restaurants only, we have a few bottles for your home restaurant.

Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
  • The Flying Syrah!
  • Ant Mackenzie turns left, with a lighter styled Syrah utilizing some fancy new clones to express the varietals primary fruit characters
  • Soft berries and red rose aromas softly fill up your nose, while red and black berries flavours fill up your mouth. This 100% Syrah is a lighter expression of the grape but still retains a full spectrum of the grapes characters including a the hints of craked pepper and fruit spice for the more traditionalists

Man O' War Bellerophon Syrah 2016

Man O' War Bellerophon Syrah 2016

Waiheke Island, New Zealand
  • Waiheke's Demi-God reincarnated as a souped-up Syrah
  • Just as Bellerophon the greek god rode is horse with wings, Bellerophon (wine) as its own wings compared to its cellar mate. Think of Dreadnought but with lifted characters of Viognier (Bellerophon's wings)
  • As expected the reviews are generous, 5 Star Wine Orbit, 96/100 Bob Campbell and is real starter with the tastes of smoked red meat
