From the Te Awa Collection of wine experiences, the Single Estate range celebrates the wineries original vineyard located in the heart of the the Gimblett Gravel district. Like the rest of the collection the Single Estate Cabernet Merlot derives its flavours from the ancient alluvial free draining soils and the many subterrrain streams of the the mighty River God - Te Awa o Te Atua. Winemakers Ant Mackenzie and Richard Painter have harnessed the power and the magic within the estate to create a brillant bordeaux blend equal to Hawke's Bay's finest. Te Awa often flies under the radar but this red won't dissappoint as the judges of the presitgous Air NZ Wine Awards awarded a gold medal.
