With multitude of stunners that come out of the Villa Maria winery the Marlborough Reserve Pinot Gris often gets overlooked, but this a sensational little Gris fully deserves the spotlight. It's 100% Marlboroughian with a almost 50/50 split between the Taylors Pass and Seddon vineyards. Opulance is name of the game for this Pinot Gris with exotic fruit flavours with a soft creamy texture. Harvested at night with a portion maturing in the barrel this Gris is also a little sweetee with a decent amount of residual sugar left in the wine with 12g/L or what you call 'medium' for a Pinot Gris. Not be outdone by it's cellar mates Villa Maria Reserve Pinot Gris has a bit a bling to uphold the family tradition receiving Gold at the recent 2021 Royal Easter Show Wine Awards.
