Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Te Mata Cape Crest 2013 would interest you.
Hawke's Bay
, New Zealand
Sauvy - but not as you know it
Te Mata's Cape Crest is indeed a Sauvignon Blanc with all the usual Sauvy hallmarks but with the added extra characters of barrel fermentation and ageing.
The perfect drop for those who are constantly asking the question... should I have Chardonnay or Sauvignon tonight?, Cape Crest is your answer!
Te Mata's Cape crest is indeed a Sauvignon Blanc but as you know it. Yes it has all the traits of a typical kiwi Sauv - tropical fruits, great acidity.... but then Cape Crest has sooo much more. For starters Cape Crest hails from Hawke's Bay and spends most of its life in barrel right from the onset from fermentation to bottling. The bottled blend also has a touch of Semillton (9%) and Sauvignon Gris (5%) to layer your tastebuds with delicous pear, quava and toasty figs.
Named after one of the worlds largest mainland colonies of Gannets this old school expression of Sauvignon Blanc has been sealed with high tech Diam corks to eliminate cork taint but allow the Sauvy to cellar for 3-4 years....yep that's right a cellarable Sauvy!
