The Sauvignon Blanc glass is perfect for all styles of this variety, from the grassy, fruit-forward wines of the Marlborough to the oak-aged, honeyed blends from Bordeaux.
To celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the very first Sauvignon Blanc glass, RIEDEL released a new glass shape for this aromatic white wine. RIEDEL collaborated with various regions including Marlborough, New Zealand, to design the new product to suit the variety’s evolving New World style. This glass is also recommended for dessert wines.

Vinum is RIEDEL's basic grape varietal specific series. Designed by 10th generation glassmaker Georg J. Riedel, Vinum was created to ensure every wine lover could access greater wine enjoyment. When Vinum was introduced in 1986 it was not just an important year for RIEDEL but for wine lovers around the world, as the launch of the machine-made collection fundamentally changed drinking glass culture.

The series was based on Sommeliers, the first wine-friendly wine glass collection, with glass bowl shapes based on the character of wine. Georg J. Riedel, presented a further innovation beyond Sommeliers even more momentous: grape varietal specific glassware made by machine to significantly reduce their cost.

Developed with great passion and based on the well-founded specialist knowledge the glasses from the Vinum range provide a reasonably priced alternative to the handcrafted Sommeliers range. Vinum ensures that the company's philosophy of functional wine glassware is affordable, and has become RIEDEL's best-selling glassware series in history
