The 2019 Pinot Gris from Lawson’s Dry Hills is remarkable value, ready to compliment a range cuisine – fish, shellfish, chicken, pork…to name a few!
This Pinot Gris comes layered of succulent stonefruit characters refreshed by citrus acid. Subtle spiced nuts and creamy melons join the mix, resulting in a textural smorgasbord of flavours that provide any meal with a great companion.

32 years of winegrowing have helped the team at Lawson’s Dry Hills harvest some exceptional fruit to provide this Pinot Gris with magical array of flavours. The bulk of the 2019 harvest came from two adjacent vineyards in late March both of which had extensive vine management to produce intense flavours. In the winery the varietal fruit characters were carefully managed while the introduction of complexity and texture was added via proportionate oak fermentation together with wild and inoculated yeast. The Lawson team have made an off dry Grey Pinot that is anything but grey. Pears and nectarines start the tantalising experience both for the nose and mouth. These succulent tropical fruit flavours are balanced by a bit of refreshing citrus, and then joined by characters of melons, and subtle spiced nuts. This complex Gris has layers of flavour making it a smorgasbord all on its own, but really comes alive in the company of shellfish and chicken.
