- The 2018 Coleraine is one for the record books much like the 2013, 2008 or even the 1998 of last century and is one of the most hotly anticipated reds in NZ. The 2019 as Sam Kim phrases it is 'Designed for life' . With a drinking period between 2030 till 2040, it's all about can you resist popping the cork for a decade. Especially with ratings like 100/100 & 98/100 along with Bob Campbell saying 'its one of the best Coleraine's he has ever tasted. Following on from the inaugural release of the Collection Syrah, 2019 was a great vintage to do with. Under Alpha Domus's Value range Pilot offers incredible value for money. This wine is pure Syrah, showing off just the flavour of the Syrah berry without any oak influences. Michael Cooper rated it 4 stars for it's "..sheer drinkability, the debut 2016 vintage is hard to beat....it shows greater complexity than you would expect". This delicious Syrah has a full palate of red berries, plums, soft tannins with a hint of spicy savouriness.
