Crafted from the winery that started the Central Pinot Noir phenomenon comes a Pinot that represents the whole region
Gibbston Valley's Pinot's are world class competing against the best of Burgundy and Oregon, Gold River benefits from that winemaking expertise but without the world class pricetag,
Case of 6 ($28.90/bottle)
It was the river that provided a gold rush over hundred years ago and now Gibbston Valley delivers again with Gold River. This second label from Gibbston Valley gets all the winemaking magic that from world class Pinot's that kickstarted the Central Otago winemaking. Although this Noir could quite easily hang around the cellar for a few years it is designed to be in glass right now. The team at Gibbston developed Gold River from the supple fruit grown in Bendigo (down river) with the spice and depth from the Gibbston Valley (up river) with the blend delivering a stunning regional example of Central Otago Pinot Noir without the stunning pricetag. Delicious with almost any type of food this is one versatile little red. The perfect Pinot quaffer.
Barton & Guestier have been making Bordeaux for a wee while....almost 300 years, so they have a fair idea of how to make a good one - and it shows with Cuvee Rambaud
Named after their first Cellar Master Germain Rambaud who first created this wine (or a version of it) way back in 1755!
