The unique winemaking technique of ‘maceration carbonique’ used by Beaujolais wineries is well managed by Te Mata for 66% of the wine production. Adding to this, is a quick 3 month stay in some seasoned French Oak and Te Mata’s Woodthorpe Gamay Noir represents NZ well as it is it’s only bottled full Gamay Noir varietal.
