Super sophisticated Filius delivers value in truckloads
From the oldest winery in Margaret River - Vasse Felix, comes their regional label Filius predominately powered up with Cabernet Sauvignon but with a generous portion of Merlot.
Critics gush over Filius calling it 'substantial texture and structure'. which means 'Son of". It seems this son wants to step out on his own, by saying to Mum and Dad "sophistication, and value can come in the same bottle".
Case of 6 ($22.90/bottle)

With half of blend coming Vasse Felix's first planted varietal Cabernet Sauvignon Filius has some serious power, followed up with 35% Merlot to bring succulence and red berries to mix. Even though the Filius Bordeaux blend is there entry level drop the quality of Vasse Felix winemaking makes this a drop a class act and Bordeaux benchmark others look up to.
