Case of 6 ($24.90/bottle)
Convergence Sauvignon Blanc is Two Rivers leading drop and in the sea of Sauvy's coming out of Marlborough each year Convergence always impresses. The man behind the label is a local born and bred Marlborough man Dave Clouston. Having grown up in Marlborough you could say he has Sauvignon Blanc in his blood. One things for sure he knows how to make a damn fine drop with his trophy cabinet bulging. Dave has given Convergence a few little extra winemaking touches than your regular Sauvy with a small portion fermented in a concrete egg tank and clay amphora to add a grainy texture to the palate. Flavours are 'explosive' full of blackcurrant, juniper and pawpaw intermingled with fresh capsicum, kaffir lime and passionfruit alongside bright, mouth-watering acidity. Just the ticket with a platter of steamed mussels in white wine sauce - no guesses to which white wine to use!
From the magical Left Field range of the Te Awa Collection this coastal Pinot Gris is luscious palate pleaser and has versatility written all over the glass.
Sourced from outstanding vineyards along the East Coast which are watched over by the whimsical Squidcrab who flies through Pinot Gris vines.
