CLRVCKIDMER

Clearview Cape Kidnappers Merlot 2021

Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
LambBBQ - Red Meats
  • Champion Red Hawke's Bay Wine Awards!
  • 'Rich and Plush" was described by Raymond Chan for this seaside Merlot (with a touch of Malbec)
  • Yummy right now but will hang on for 8 years especially when paired with grilled lamb steaks or Clearview’s own food match – Kumara Gnocchi.
  • Case of 6 ($21.90/bottle)

From the seaside home block of the Te Awanga vineyard Tim and Clearview team craft a rich dense Merlot. For those keen followers of this wine you will spot a slight change in the label championing the Merlot variety above the others. Don’t despair lovers of the blend there is still a wee bit of Malbec in there – 14% worth. Cape Kidnappers Merlot promises to push your mouth out with plums and blackberries thanks to slightly cooler ferment. The Clearview clairvoyants can see this wine drinking well for another 8 years but we can tell you it’s yummy right now, especially when paired with grilled lamb steaks or Clearview’s own food match – Kumara Gnocchi.
