As one of the finest NZ examples of 'lightly' oaked Chardonnay around the Kidnappers Vineyard Chardonnay does a great job emulating the Chardonnay experiences of Chablis. Focusing on the pure flavours of the Chardonnay grape Kidnappers employs old large oak barrels for maturation only. The end experience delivers an abundance of grapefruit, peaches, with hints of almond, and of course a mouthwatering briney character only a seaside vineyard can deliver.
