This sweet little number from Framingham has been in the limelight for a couple of decades now as a regular 90+ winner, and its worth it! Bob Campbell reackons this Noble drop as one of the best dessert wines in New Zealand, not just once but pretty much every year. So how do the Framingham team do it? Well it's all down to Rule No.4 - Take calculated risks. To craft their Noble Riesling viticulturist James Bowskill takes a risk, leaving the grapes out to get the botrytis, a fungi that shrinks the grape otherwise named as Noble Rot! It's a risk but with huge reward delivering syrup honey & honeycomb with lashings of apricot and citrus flavours.
