Main Divide Riesling certainly packs a bit of flavour punch to you mouth filling it up with honeyed citrus, marmalade, florals and spices with a flinty backbone.
So much flavour delivered into this 'second label' from Pegasus Bay it's know wonder Sam Kim described it as "cracking good"
Case of 6 ($20.90/bottle)
With a touch of sweetness and spritzy zing Main Divide's Riesling is vibrant and full of character. Grown in the Waipara Valley in the heart of the Southern Alps, or has the locals call it, the 'Main Divide' this wine gets many benefits from its big brother Pegasus Bay without the pricetag. As Sam Kim from Wine Orbit mentioned 'this is cracking good". The experience starts with bold moment of honeyed citrus, apricot jam and marmalade before you add in florals and mixed spices. The sweet honeysuckle carries on through along the subtle flinty acid backbone. Labeled as off-dry to medium it is on the sweeter side of Riesling's but the flavour punch is worth it.
Once described as a Dark Horse this spectacular Syrah will trumpet like an elephant in your mouth. A true Hawke's Bay Syrah classic - luscious & elegant.
If you have good will power it will last 8 years in the cellar and is great partner to Wagyu beef
