Showcasing the subregion of Central Otago, Bendigo lies just north of Lake Dunstan and is the home to Gibbston Valley's China Terrace vineyard. A gentle sloping vineyard planted in with Burgundian vines. Unusually for Central Otago it is the white burgundy that will be in the limelight today - as it deserves to be! Part of the single vineyard GV range, the China Terrace Chardonnay delivers tons of character drawn from it's surrounding environment. On the vine the grapes take full advantage of Bendigo warmth to ripen even though they are 350metres above sea level. In barrel the juice is left to its own devices to undergo two natural ferments - alcoholic and the buttery malo ferment. Combined with the natural minerals from the schist and the light flavours of the old oak this delicious Chardonnay experience will keep your taste buds mesmerised.
