The 2022 vintage had a huge task living up to both the legacy of Coleraine gone past. Fortunately with ratings like 98/100 (Bob Campbell) 100/100 (Sam Kim) and 5 Stars from every wine writer on the planet, long time winemaker Peter Cowley as seemed to create almost Coleraine perfection. Internationally reviewers have called the 2018 edition a 'Wine Legend' by Decanter Magazine and 'A National Treasure' by Jancis Robinson MW. Local reviewers keep the praise going with Wine Orbit's Sam Kim ending his 100/100 review with the description 'Flawless and Spellbinding' while Bob Campbell MW scribes 'This is elegance on a grand scale and one of the best vintages I’ve tasted”
A time honoured tradition of Coleraine winemaking hasn’t changed much over the years starting with hand harvesting before traditional warm ferment and extended skin contact. Maturing the wine takes a long 19 months in French Oak barrel with parcel blending incorporated. The one noticeable difference in the 2014 vintage is the smaller production so get what you can before it all goes!
