The Southern Valleys are located directly south of Wairau Valley and are known for clay-based soils and cooler evening temperatures during the critical ripening period. Some of the oldest hillside Pinot Noir plantings in Marlborough are found in this sub-region. These high-density plantings experience the perfect conditions for producing intense, unique, and memorable Pinot Noir wines.

The Rohe story translates Rohe, meaning territory in Te Reo Maori, is a range of wines that showcase Marlborough’s sub-regions and share our perspective of a remarkable region. Rohe Pinot Noir has flavours of dark cherry, violet, and cinnamon spice aromas complement red fruits, chocolate, and sutle spice flavors on the palate. The fruit flavours are framed with supple tannins and a core of juicy acidity.
