Vieux Chateau des Combes incorporates a select group of vineyards in St Emillion to make a spectacular Merlot Grand Cru. Named after the little hills and valleys (Combes) surrounding the Saint Emillion region. The label started life in 1858 thanks to Pierre Ducourt and is still made by the Ducourt family. Always a firm favourite, this St Emilion brings out the power and grace of Merlot with forest fruits, prunes and gingerbread backed up with a touch of vanilla and savoury tobacco.
