'Garage wines' is a term used to describe wines that are produced in the back sheds of French winemakers, who make small batch wines of the highest quality. Our galvanized, corrugated 'garage' was built in 1927 and still houses the traditional equipment used in the handcrafting of this wine.
Slightly funky and reductive at first, this wine soon reveals varietal Cabernet aromas of black olive, black currants and bay leaf. The palate has nice weight, and tastes of mulberry and spice. There's reasonable tannin, although not too aggressive, and the wine concludes with moderate acidity and long length of flavour.
